This booklet, created by a consortium of 20 local square dance club, was sponsored by the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, testament to the rising popularity of square dance at that time. Notes with this item add, "An expanded update came in 1951. The first square dance club in Arizona was The Docey Doe Club, a member of The Organization."
Following a series of definitions, the booklet provides calls for 42 squares (both patter and singing), followed by four couple dances-- Varsouvianna, Schottische, Polka, and Minuet
