Bob Dalsemer – Contra and square dance writer and caller
Bob Dalsemer is an internationally-known square dance and contra dance caller and writer. Bob called dances for more than five decades in 33 states, Canada, the Czech Republic, Britain, Belgium, Denmark and Russia. He co-founded the Baltimore Folk Music Society and served as president of the Country Dance and Song Society. He was the John C. Campbell Folk School’s music and dance coordinator for more than two decades. Today he resides in North Carolina.
Harrison Keeley grew up in North Carolina and began contra dancing in 2005 at the John C. Campbell Folk School while Bob called dances there. Professionally a journalist, in 2023 Harrison began filming and editing video profiles about fascinating folks in Appalachia for his Youtube channel.
