This dance features lots of swinging! Starting with the first couple, lady number one goes to the couple on the right, swings the lady of that couple (Ma) then the gent (Pa) and then her own partner (Arkansas). While swinging, couple number one moves to the center of the square while the other six dancers circle left around them. The caller then tells gent number one to "kiss her if you dare." The figure is repeated for ladies two, three and four.
