Swing Thru - Jim Mayo - MWSD 3a
Creator: Jim Mayo (November 19, 2011)
This is one of a set of videos documenting Jim Mayo's workshop on Modern Western Square Dance, recorded November 19, 2011. In this series, Jim teaches Swing Thru, a figure that opened up exciting new choreographic possibilities, and explains how this move led rapidly to the introduction of two other calls—Run and Trade. Here, Jim introduces the figure and calls some patter; in an accompanying video (MWSD 3b - Somewhere Over the Rainbow) he uses the same calls in a singing square.
