Larry Edelman calls a Square Dance by Bernie Chalk
Creator: Larry Edelman (1990)
Larry Edelman comments: "I believe I first saw it called by Paul Tyler in 1983 and he attributed it to Bernie Chalk. Years later, when Bernie was staying with me on one of his annual trips to the US I asked him about it and he told me what he called the dance and I neglected to write it down. So the title is still a mystery to me. It’s a nice version of a very popular and frequently used sequence that I’ve seen arranged in many iterations, in many places."
The Related Items show other dances with the series of allemandes featured in this one, though without that central basket swing and walking around the outside of the square
Subjects: Transitional/Western 1950s
