This is a short interview (2013) with Patrick Napier, author of Kentucky Mountain Square Dancing. In it, he talks about his experiences as a member of the Berea Country Dancers, working with Frank Smith, and how he came to write his book, a senior project when a student at Berea College. He started teaching square dance at the Berea Christmas Country Dance School in 1948 and continued for every year after that except for 1951, when he was in Korea. ("I'd rather have been here," he comments.)
