Using Alternative Music In Your Square Dance Program - Paul Cote

This is a 50-minute audio and video presentation designed to help square dance callers use "alternative music" to make their dance program more relevant. By offering a variety of music to your dancers, you make the activity more welcoming to more kinds of people. (This program was originally presented at Ken Ritucci's Northeast Callers School 2010 and videotaped by an attendee.)

The program includes some philosophy as well as numerous examples of Cote calling to different styles of music. He concludes his presentation by quoting a line from Whoopi Goldberg in the movie Sister Act: "Let's put some butts on the floor!"
