This half-hour video looks closely at the Tech Squares modern square club at MIT. Under the leadershp of caller Ted Lizotte and with the assistance of a large group of dedicated assistants and dance angels, Tech Squares manages twice each year to turn out high-level square dancers, taking beginners through the Plus program—100 calls—in 13 weeks, a process that typically takes more than a year in most clubs. Dance sequences are interspersed with reflective comments by dancers young and old, including several longer sequences with Lizotte.
