Colorado Double Star

The double square was started by the Aggie Haylofters at Colorado State University in the 1950's as a dance formation for exhibition square dancing; The double square was danced by the Aggie Haylofters from about 1954-1985 or 1986.
The choreography is a combination of both standard square dance calls and inventive movements. Calvin Campbell and Bob Riggs, who called for the exhibition team, and several of the Colorado Dancers are alumni of CSU.
This exhibition was performed at the National Square Dance Convention in Portland OR, in 2005. The performers are the Colorado Dancers and the caller is Calvin Campbell.
