Asilomar Dance Camp
This large set of photos and text all relate to Asilomar, the location in southern California where many dance camps were held. Included in this item are photographs of campers, camp rosters, and copies of The Walkthrough from 1956 (a daily newsletter with information about that day's activities).
The items are arranged chronologically. So, for example, the first two photographs are from 1955, followed by 1955 staff roster and camper roster, then on to 1956. Included years are 1955–1958, 1961, and 1962. Note: there are photographs and rosters from two sessions in 1956.
These items were donated by Christopher Orem, who writes: "My uncle was Jay Orem. He worked for or was heavily associated with Sets In Order for many years, especially during the 1950's. My mother and father (Bill & Marian Orem) also participated/volunteered, apparently mostly at the Asilomar institute."
