Arnie Kronenberger - hash, live recording, 1953
Jerry Reed - I believe this recording is an example of what traveling callers were calling in 1953. This choreography is a single patter tip from a dance called by Arnie Kronenberger, from California. The dance was called with a live band in Chicago. At the end of the dance Arnie thanks the band and identifies them as the WLS Ranch Hands. (Note - WLS was a popular radio station in Chicago.) The audio of the dance includes eight singing calls and six patter tips. In addition there is one VERY SHORT (20 seconds) patter tip. The music on this audio is very muted. This is probably because the music was provided by a live band. (The tune is Glise de Sherbrooke.)
The following choreography is from one of the patter tips and is about 5 minutes long.
