National Square Dance Convention - 1959 Who's Who

This excerpt from the program of the 1959 National Square Dance Convention lists the better-known presenters at the event. As such, it's a useful snapshot of who was respected enough at that time to be included in the roster. It's interesting that Les Gotcher is not among those listed, though he does have an ad in the program; as he recounts in his autobiograhy, Gotcher felt attacked by Lloyd Shaw and subsequently ostracized by Bob Osgood and those around him in the emerging national square dance hierarchy.
